Gw tu anaknya agak random sih, suka agak ngahuleng kl kata orang jerman alias suka bingung mau ngapain pdhal kerjaan banyak depan mata.

Yaudah gitu aja.

Anywaaayyy, lagi rajin ngeblog yes harus di pertahankan nih, dulu waktu di bikin schedule HARUS posting blog minimal seminggu dua kali aja malah gone.

Suka gitu emang anaknya, kl dikasih pressure suka kabur. 😂

Let's celebrate kerajinan ini dengan introducing you to two of my faves kunyit products, and here is the first one!

1. Luxcrime Turmeric Jasmine Mud Mask

I've been lately lg rajin bgt maskeran, akibat d rumah aja yakan gda kerjaan yaudah hayuk kita maskeran aja.

Nah salah satu masker andalanque adalah masker turmeric aka kunyit dari luxcrime

Kunyit sih ya udah tersohor deh dari jaman dahulu kala, known as anti-inflammatory, anti-irritant, anti-oxidant and ada lil brightening effect yg buat gw tertarik sama masker ini.

Buat yg penasaran sama klaim dan ingredients list nya ni gw ambil dari shoppe nya Luxcrime-nya ya, cekidots.

Teksturnya, kaya mud mask warnanya kuning mereprentasikan kunyit, yaiya masa judulnya turmeric mask warnanya ijo nanti pemirsa bingung bukan (yha, tydac informatif). Spreadeble, gampang diratain ga harus pake kuas, pake tangan juga bisa banget.

Di dalemnya ada butiran scrubnya yg berfungsi untuk bantu exfoliasi kulit dari luar (exfoliasi kulit dr dalam bisa dibantu dengan banyak2 istigfar 😌).

Scrubnya kl buat gw agak sedikit terlalu gede sih jadi lumayan brasa pas digosok-gosoknya, I prefer butiran scrub yg lebih kecil dan halus sih jdnya pas dicuci gw suka jatoh-jatohin dulu si scrubnya baru digosokin ke muka sambil dibilas.

Kl mnurut gw pribadi sih jangan terlalu sering exfo pake scrub apalagi yang lagi ada jrawat aktif, takutnya akan melukai si jerawat aktif tadi. Maksimal 2x seminggu aja will do.

Cara pakenya.

Kl gw dioles di muka yg udah dibersihin pake cleansing balm/oil/gel pokoknya sejenis first cleanser, oles ke muka, agak tebel lebih enak sih kl ga sayang, diemin sampe agak kering, baru deh dibilas, trus dicuci lagi pake gentle face wash.

Kl ga dicuci pake sabun lagi takut residunya malah nyumbat pori jdnya malah jrawatan kan sedih. Makanya di awal sebelum cuci muka gw pake 1st cleanser aja buat bersihin kulitnya biar ga kbanyakan cuci mukak pake sabun.

Ohiya yg gw kurang suka itu wanginya! Karena dia ada jasmine extractnya alias melati melati mewangi sepanjang hari jadinya pas awal dipake wah semerbak, agak-agak berasa susana gmn gitu kan jdnya.

Btw, kl ada yg udah pernah coba turmeric masknya kiehls, nah mirip mirip tuh, dupe alert! Bedanya menurut gw di butiran scrub nya dan wanginya, tentu saja yang kiehls punya wanginya ga kaya susana 😆

Tp turmeric mask nya luxcrime ini do its job sih di gw, tugasnya clay mask tipe wash off kaya gini kerjanya ga lain dan ga bukan ya untuk ngebersihin kulit.

Dia berfungsi narik minyak2 di muka jdnya mukanya feels so clean and fresh gitu stelah dibersihin, udah itu aja. Kl untuk brightening effect ya jgn bergantung sama wash-off mask kaya gini. Pake serum yg ada actives nya udah paling bener sih.

Jadi ya karena dia mengerjakan tugasnya dengan baik, gw sih ya suka sama mask ini.

Dengan harga 119.000 (last time I checked, lagi diskon di shopee jadi 107.100 yuhuu) ya oke sih, abisnya juga lama bgt di gw kaya udah pake berbulan2 tp belom abis2 juga. Mayan irit bukan.

As you might now realize maybe getting home-quarantine make you want to shop. A lot. Like sales were going on here and there. And without you knowing the delivery man was already in front of your door. 😛

Maybe one of the packets was skincare. Maybe not one, but two, or maybe three, five or more? And there was your old skincare standing still on your vanity.

Does it happen to you too? Oh well, number one world's girl's problem I supposed. 😌

I might not shop a lot, but I bought it every one or two months and it did quite pile up on my skincare stash.

That consists of either skincare that makes my skin looks good. Or the skincare that not doing anything to my skin. Or the one that I don't know when will I use it daily, but I didn't give it away to anyone, cause somehow I feel like maybe it will work on me some the other days.

While I feel guilty (or not 😅) about it. I always try newly-fresh-recently bought-skincare two weeks or a month in a row, and then I rotate it so that my skin didn't unresponsive to it. Then I will search again for another skincare to replace my current skincare, and put the old one into the rotation.

I intentionally do that because I think the best way to make my skin feels the most benefit of the actives ingredients is to use it no longer than one month in a row, unless I do a rotation on the routine I feel like my skin will not feel the good on the product anymore.

Or maybe, it just happened because I am bored using the same skincare one month non-stop in a row, besides I always curious about the other skincare. So yeah, impulsive detected 😂

Then, I decided to make a schedule for my skincare routine every day, while I am not adding anything up to my regime at least for this month. I wish it will hold my self to spend another dollar on new skincare. *fingercrossed

I feel like when I didn't have any of this schedule, I will find my self just continue to use random skincare in front of my face and the other skincare will just be forgotten, and then unwittingly the expiration date comes up.

A Lil fun fact, I don't know if you guys do it too, but if its the makeup which already expired, I still likely to use it, as long as the consistency and the smells are still the same as before (not a good example my self😀).

But for skincare, I didn't intend to keep on using it, because skincare is contained some actives ingredients in it and if it's already expired and I keep on using it on my face, it will only do more harm than good I think.

So, my current skincare consists of excessive toners, essences, day and night creams, sunblocks, face washes, and masks.

The next thing to do is to list down all of my existing skincare and divide them into several categories, for me it was:

Exfoliating toners, hydrating toners, moisturizers, cream that contained exfoliating properties, sleeping mask, potent serums with actives, hydrating and soothing serum, sunblock, facial washes, and masks. (soo mannyyy, I cry).

Then I started to make a schedule, I decided to go three times a week for exfoliation, two days for sheet-masking and the rest for hydrating skincare. I make sure to fit all of my skincare as many as I could in a week, but when I couldn't I put it on the hold list, and make sure that I put the hold skincare into next week's schedule.

This is my whole week regime, I don't know if you guys can't understand it tho, but here you go, my schedule for this week only 😃.

The schedule surely sure will change throughout the week depending on my skin needs, or when I feel like to try new skincare, my routine will definitely change, but I make sure to put it as many as possible into my weekly schedule.

Anyway, one basic rule that I apply on my skin is to never mix up two or more potent actives or acids in one time, cause I tried and it did give me a negative result. For me, it's best to separate them in a different regime.

My other basic rule is I try to put niacinamide and/or Centella Asiatica serum plus sunblock OR vitamin c oil/serum and sunblock in the morning. I'm not combining vitamin c and niacinamide serum together cause I feel a bit itch afterward.

At noon when I feel not too unwillingly-moved (but mostly I'm not even bothering to do it) I do some add up treatments, I prefer scrub and/or clay mask and/or hydrating mask. Generally, it's something that I have to wash right after.

At the night, I do more intensive skincare, I put AHA and/or BHA and soothing serum and then moisturizer or sleeping mask after that. I do it not more than three times a week because more than that my skin will feel dry or even duller than it already has.

At night that I don't use AHA/BHA, I use a facial oil and/or niacinamide serum to adding some hydration to my sahara skin.

Extensively I use sheet mask twice a week, I tried it three times a week but apparently, my skin can't hold it up, there will be a little acne or some kind of milia pop up on in my face.

I can get soo easily overboard with skincare, put on potent skincare get a nice result overnight, do it again, and the next day nothing but boom. Bad reactions appear 😅.

Well, you gotta learn beb.

Skincare is pretty much a long journey, you have to know your skin first, pay attention to it, how it will react to certain ingredients. And while it works for me it might not work for others, and vice versa, what good on others might not work for me. Lesson learned.

On a side note. While there is so many skincare that launches their new skincare like every month. When you decide to try it, feel free to join a trial and error, and enjoy the ride.

If the skincare makes you breakout I think it's very important to have your legitimate-key skincare, and going back to it for a while, and when your skin is getting better and ready to get another expose, just find another way to use it.

But if it did not work well too after all of what you did, well, you can use it on another part on your body. Or give it to another who might like it.

Did I always follow the scheds? definitely not! I look at my current condition to apply skincare at the moment, but most of the time I do looking at the time schedule just to make sure that all of my skincare gets its turn.

I am not always in a diligent state too when it comes to applying skincare every day, I can get so lazy too and most of the time is when I get sick, or when the period comes. Oh the struggle is real 😆

Anyway, I plan to put retinol in my regime but my schedule is already tight, I think I have to wait until I finish the other skincare first, oh my, the perks of collecting skincare and not use it until it near-expired 😅

Udah lama banget ga update blog, etapi gw bukan lagi pengen bahas drakor, tapi lagi pengen bahas peralatan perang yang udah pernah gw cobain pas hari-H aka hari Haid menyerang. Yuhu.

Menstrual Cup.

Buat yang tiap bulan kerjaannya marah apalagi karena gatal dan iritasi, ini salah satu solusi sih. Udah pernah denger soal menstrual cup belum yorobun? Kayanya pasti udah banyak ya secara beberapa tahun belakangan ini kayanya iklan soal menstrual cup lumayan gencar dimana-mana. Azek.

Ini salah satu life changing experience sih buat gw, dimana dulu sebelum pake MC tiap bulan pasti sebel, kalo ga gatel ya iritasi dan ga enak walau udah sering ganti tiap 3-4jam sekali, minimal pasti malem-malem ga nyenyak tidur karena gelisah ngerasa gatel. Ada yang gini juga ga sih? Kaya hampir produk2 pembalut supermarket udah gw coba dan ujung2nya sama. Nangis.

Selama pake menstrual cup ini gw bebas gatel karena otomatis ga lembab, bebas iritasi juga dari gesekan pembalut karena ga dipake selama 24 jam kan, berasa ga pake apa-apa enak deh. Cuma harus dikosongin 3-4 jam sekali aja pas lagi hari-hari heavy flow, gw biasanya hari ketiga keempat tu pas lagi banjir bandang, sisanya 6jam sekali masih ok no tembus. Asal penempatannya bener no bochor bochor deh. Mantapu.

Seinget gw sik gw pake MC udah dari tahun lalu, udah 6 bulan-an lebih sih kayanya. Gw beli MC dari brand Organicup dengan pertimbangan awal karena dia no color, warnanya transparan-ga-bening warna plastik silikon aja gitu, dan silikonnya medical grade, which is gw gatau sih ngaruh atau ga tp harusnya ya lebih aman ya daripada pake MC yg dari plastik-plastik ku tak tau apa.

Dulu pilih MC yg ga ada warnanya karena pernah baca lupa dimana kl lebih aman. Tapi ya banyak MC warna warni dan aman-aman aja ko terus jadi gemes aja liatnya, terus jadi pengen punya *yha impulsip

Harganya?

Gw beli sekitar 350ribu kalau ga salah inget nanti gw cari ya bukti pembeliannya kalo ga mager.

Btw karena harga pertama di awal itu agak mahal ini jadi salah satu kekurangannya sih, ibaratnya jadi kudu ngeluarin 'modal' agak gede kan di awal, kayanya ada yg sampe 700-1000k-an deh harganya ya mayan juga kan mikirnya jadi panjang dibanding beli pembalut sekali pakek. Gw beli organicup yha karena lumayan tergolong murah juga di kelasnya buat coba-coba okelahsip.

Untuk long term jelas hemat, kan ya ndak beli lagi toh sampe menopause, kecuali anda gatel mau beli jenis yang lain pengen koleksi aja gitu, yaudah. Gajadi hemat tp senang. Gapapa. Sebagai sesama sobat impulsip saya paham.

update: harganya 399.900 ya di shopeenya sustaination kayanya kmaren gw belinya pake potong koin shopee jd nya dpt harga 350an deh. Mayan lah bisa buat jajan cireng kembaliannya 😌

Ngomong-ngomong soal warna..

Gw salah satu yg kalau mau pake MC harus gw rebus dulu, jadi before and after the period itu gw rebus dulu. Gw baca-baca sih harusnya ga perlu gitu deh gapapa. Cukup di awal banget pemakaian aja. Tapi gw khawatir karena kan ya masuk ke badan ya itungannya, kl ga bener-bener steril ya parno akutu. Nah kayanya karena keseringan gw rebus lama-lama dia berubah slightly kecoklatan, masih samar bgt sih warnanya tp dibanding dulu waktu pertama beli ya lebih butek. Kan jd pengen beli yang warna-warni. YAHAHAAHAH

Keras ga sih menstrual cup itu?

Organicup ini tuh termasuk yang cupnya firm gitu, jd lumayan cocok buat pemula. Karena resiko bocornya harusnya lebih sedikit karena firm itu tadi kan, ya dia jadinya suctionnya makgreng di dalem (tenang ga berasa apa2 ko di dalem selama masangnya bener sih, ajib bukan). Ada brand lain yang lebih soft cup nya, cocok juga sih buat pemula (semua aja cocok buat pemula kl gitu hakdes) asumsinya kalau lebih soft pas belajar keluar masuknya jadi ga begitu susah kan less-horor. Ku tydac punya yang lain jadi tydac bisa membandingkan hahah. Tp seinget gw brand lain yg lebih soft ini lebih mahal dari organicup sih tp gw lupa nama dan harganya dan sedang males gugling, plusnya warna-warna sama bentukannya lucu lucu kan jiwa impulsip ini kembali memberontak.

Yha ok balik lagi ke organicup, karena dia firm itu suatu ketika pas gw lagi lepas pasang di tengah hari gw agak kasar mainnya karena buru-buru (((((main))))) -lepas pasang masuknya, red- jadilah kemudian mrs.v nya jadi agak lecet, bukan agak lagi deh yha lumayan lecet, fyi lepas MC tuh harus penuh kesabaran dan kasih sayang, gabisa akutu dikasarin, jadinya lumayan perih sampe semingguan kemudian. Habis dari situ gw ga pake lagi, yha cemen

Terus gimana dong, apakah amuh akan coba lagi pake MC di kemudian hari?

Yha mungkin aja, mungkin banget, entah pake organicup lg atau cari brand lain yg lebih soft cupnya. Tapi untuk sekarang-sekarang ini kayanya belom dulu. Libur dulu anaknya cemen (2) hahahaahh.

Kesimpulannya.

Pake MC ni enak sih bebas bgt gitu kek free willy. Yha. Ikan paus.

Mengingat 'kepraktisan'nya gw ga nyesel sih coba pake MC, soal nyamannya ga usah ditanya lagi, ga usah bolak balik ganti, gw pernah pake 8 jam (ga pas banjir bandang ya ini) kondisi lagi kerja dan ga sempet kosong-kosongin MC dan nyaman aja kaya ga pake apa-apa seharian, ga brasa ada yg keluar-keluar sepanjang hari. Approved deh.

Ya intinya kl jiwanya adventurer boleh lah dicoba, dengan catatan ya lepas pasang nya jangan lupa harus penuh kesabaran dan kasih sayang ya. Tho I have to admit MC ini not for everyone sih, kl masih ga berani takut ini itu ini itu banyak pertimbangan yha gapapa bgt, wajar. Ga masalah ga usah berantem ya. Kl mau pake ya pake, ga ya ga. Tenang semua harap tenang ini ujian.

Terus gw pake apa dong sekarang ini?

Lagi coba yang lain sih, ada skitar tiga item yang lg rencana gw cobain. Next post deh kl udah selesai eksperimen dan ga mager yahahhahahh.

Kalau Gisella Anastasia pasti udah pada kenal ya, eits tapi saya disini ga mau bahas soal gosipnya tapi pensil alisnya!

Post ini harusnya up bulan Mei 2019, daripada nongkrong ga jelas di draft, yuk kita publish aja, gausah heran sama bahasanya emang ini ceritanya lagi lamar jadi editor tapi yanasip ga lolos, jadinya edisi dibuang sayang!

Tertarik dengan make up brand dari Gisella Anastasia, Madam Gie, saya memutuskan untuk mencoba beberapa produknya karena harganya yang relatif terbilang murah. Setelah mencoba eyeshadow dan liquid lipstick nya, yang mengejutkan menurut saya itu salah satunya adalah pensil alisnya. Dibandrol dengan harga Rp 7.878 saja pensil alis ini mencuri hati saya.

Teksturnya keras, tidak creamy dan tidak pigmented, namun karena tidak creamy dan tidak pigmented itulah yang menjadi kelebihan pensil alis ini sehingga sangat cocok untuk saya dan kamu yang suka buru- buru dan tidak ahli bikin alis on-fleek karena tidak takut salah.

Iya betul, tidak takut salah karena tidak pigmented sehingga untuk yang heavy-handed seperti saya memulas alis tidak perlu khawatir terlalu tebal pada goresan pertama sehingga meminimalisir kesalahan, namun jangan khawatir pensil alis ini bisa banget ko di-build bagi yang suka alisnya nampak tebal.

Saya suka warna dark granitenya karena tidak terlalu hitam sehingga terlihat natural. Warna espresso brown pun patut diacungi jempol karena coklatnya lebih ke arah coklat tua dan bukan coklat kemerahan sehingga tentu saja tampak natural.

Bahkan pensil alis ini sedikit mengingatkan saya pada pensil alis Maybelline Fashion Brow, mungkin bisa jadi alternatif mengingat harganya yang jauh lebih murah!

Downsidenya? Tentu saja pensil alis ini tidak waterproof dan tidak smudgeproof tapi selama tidak digosok-gosok secara ekstrim pensil alis ini lumayan tahan lama kok.

That being said, saya merekomendasikan pensil alis ini untuk pemula, untuk yang alis nya sudah tebal dan hanya perlu diisi saja, dan bisa juga digunakan untuk membingkai alis bagi yang suka alis on-fleek ala instagram.

Disclaimer: this post is should be up on 7 July 2019, but it looks like I forget it, I think letting this post sitting in my draft would be a waste, so here it is, the review of Bio Beauty Lab - Part 1. No photos cause I am such a lazy a**, pictures would be added soon, IF I feel like it.

After last lebaran holiday, my skin was became soo angry with me, didn't properly taking a good care of my skin was obviously a real bummer, there was active pimples here and there, a lot of little pimples (or we called bruntusan here at +62) at my forehead and my cheek, and later on it lead my face to a total mess, cry..

First thing I remembered was I changed my facial wash because I was running out of my usual face wash - Hadalabo Gokujyun Face Wash (click here for the review) to any face wash that I could find at minimarket. and it only took two weeks and a bit more to break out my face. and also-my bad- I feel so lazy to cleaned my face even after a long make-up day before, and then here I am.

To treat my active acne, I was used tretinoin aka retinoic acid (vitacid 0,025%), it dried my acne in the next day, but it stop there after 5 days or so, it just keep making the skin around my acne to dry and drier without even healing my real acne. so, I try to find another acne healing product all over internet and instagram, and then I remember Bio Beauty Lab, after I read a lot of good reviews about it, finally I convinced my self to ordered it.

I used it right away at the night I received it hoping for the best, and the next day my 2weeks acne that sitting right on my left cheek is calming down. That was sure looked like a great start. So I continued using it for 3 days straight, day and night. But then, I see a new pimple on my right cheek, it's red and hurt but the next day it was calmed down by her self like it is really sooth her overnight.

So I used it again in the morning in day 4, then the big-red-hurt acne showing up (again) in the next day, so I got 2 new acnes since I am using it. I wondered, is it because the face oil, is it because it contains essential oils, that some people believe is a triggered for a sensitive skin (?)

Then I remembered the day I used the face oil, this time I used my toner that contain a galactomyces before, the toner that even myself have always questioning about. Because when ever I used it -after a long break-, I always had a big red acne the next day. But nevertheless I keep using it anyway, ha ha -_-

So I stopped the toner, and because I am not willing to give up on this oil, I continued to use it in the next day.

BUT THE THIRD BIG ACNE WAS SHOWED UP AGAIN. Oh boy.

I really didn't want to give up on this oil, so I suspected my face wash, instead of using my regular Hadalabo, I used Clean and Clear facial wash that contain salicylic acid at the night. I think that this one is the triggered, so at day 5, I stop it and keep my routine simple; wash my face with my one and only Hadalabo, and then I applied the oil and that's it.

As much as I enjoyed the minimal skincare routine for my face, actually I missed my longer routine very much, but for the sake of the curiosity and a hope, I hold my self to put another skincare and give it a go for another round, another week, another month.

And I finally see the light of hope of this oil. uwu.
